I’m a science writer based in South Carolina. I’m contributing writer for Discover Magazine but my work has also appears in The New York Times, Scientific American, National Geographic, New Scientist, and Medscape. Before that I worked for The Post and Courier .

I have a master’s degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. I cover climate, mental health, and paleontology for a variety of national and international publications and I’m well regarded for my coverage of Long Covid.

My goal is to highlight the quieter voices. Also, kindness matters.
